But it is the Russian who makes his way into Sunday's final, where he he will take on Holger Rune (19) or Jannik Sinner (21) - that game is coming up shortly.

15:38 CET - And Rublev has bounced back in just 38 minutes. The Russian didn't let the disappointment of losing the first set get to him, and claimed the second set 6-1. To a final set we go.
14:58 CET - It may be drizzling in Monte Carlo, but that won't dampen Taylor Fritz's (25) mood. The American has taken the first set against Andrey Rublev (25) 7-5 after a rollercoaster 45 minutes which included seven breaks of serve. He is now one set away from his second Masters final.
