22:17 CET - The Miami Masters is over for Katerina Siniakova who retired hurt from her match with Claire Liu in the second set despite winning the first 6-3 and the second evenly poised at 3-3. In the men's draw, Aleksander Vukic is through after straight sets win over Aleksander Kovacevic.

21:56 CET - Thanasi Kokkinakis will not be in the Miami main draw later this week after Frenchman Benoit Paire beat the Australian 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. Elswhere, Cristian Garin, who beat Casper Ruud in Indian Wells on his way to the quarter-finals, has advanced.

20:30 CET - More results are pouring in from Miami's qualifiers where Danka Kovinic has been beaten by Nao Hibino in straight sets. There have also been wins for Rebecca Marino and Mirjam Bjorklund

Meanwhile, Jordan Thompson is through on the men's side, beating Czech Tomas Machac in three sets. Also through are Christopher Eubanks and Pavel Kotov

18:03 CET - Ukrainian Marta Kotsyuk became one of the first to progress to the second round of the Miami Open as she defeated Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto with a 6-3, 6-2 result.

Other early triumphs included Irina-Camelia Begu and Nao Hibino.

Meanwhile, in the men's tour Daniel Altmaier, Roman Safiullin and Felipe Meligeni Alves have all confirmed qualification.

9:18 CET - Tennis great Martina Navratilova said she is cancer-free nearly four months after announcing she had been diagnosed with throat and breast cancer.

The Czech–American, who won a total of 59 Grand Slam titles across singles and doubles and is considered among one the greatest players of all time, had said in January that the cancer was in Stage 1.

"As far as they know I'm cancer-free," the 66-year-old told Piers Morgan for TalkTV in an excerpt of an interview to be released later on Tuesday.

9:12 CET - Rafa Nadal's absence from Indian Wells saw the 22-time Grand Slam champion slip out of the top 10 for the first time since 2005 on Monday but the Spaniard will still be the "man to beat" at the French Open if he can get back to full fitness.

Nadal was forced to skip the Masters 1000 event in California, where he reached the final last year, as he continues his recovery from a hip issue that ended his Australian Open title defence in the second round in January.

7:28 CET - Welcome to our daily Tennis Tracker, today covering all the latest from the Miami qualifiers. As we start transitioning from the Indian Wells and make our way from one USA coast to the other, we'll bring you the updates from the Miami qualifiers.

Starting off with ATP, Australian star Thanasi Kokkinakis got off to a good start as he defeated Argentinian Andrea Collarini by a comfortable 6-3, 6-3. His display was followed by Zhizhen Zhang's quick victory over Mattia Bellucci by 6-1, 6-3. 

Emilio Gomez was also upset by Kazakh Timofey Skatov who prevailed with a 2-6, 2-6 triumph.

Meanwhile, on the women's end, Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko was victorious against Briton Harriet Dart through a close 7-6, 6-2 match.

Viktoriya Tomova ended up with a surprising result as she lost in less than an hour to Swiss Viktorija Glubic.
