Six candidates to take over at Leicester after Rodgers' departure
The Foxes have slipped down into the drop zone in 19th place and have taken action with 10 games remaining in a bid to retain their Premier League status.
Leicester are currently in the hands of first-team coach Adam Sadler and goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell, who have been tasked with taking training and preparing the team for matches.
With the pressure ramping up ahead of the run-in, Flashscore takes a look at some potential candidates in line to succeed Rodgers at the King Power Stadium.
Rafael Benitez
A Champions League winner, Benitez's (62) stock has fallen in recent years which is highlighted by his dismissal as Everton boss in January 2022 following a dreadful spell.
He embarked on spells with Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle so boasts a wealth of Premier League experience, which could make him one of the safer options for Leicester.
Thomas Frank
Brentford boss Frank (49) was linked with the Leicester job much earlier in the season and his name looks to be cropping up in the conversation once again.
Frank and his Bees side have continued to impress in their second season in the top tier with the West London outfit currently sitting seventh in the table.
However, the Foxes' precarious position in contrast to Brentford's may be off-putting for the Dane if considering a switch.
Ange Postecoglou
Postecoglou (57) has been a since his appointment as Celtic boss, with the Hoops currently nine points clear of rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
The Australian has crafted a free-scoring team which has scored 95 goals in 30 games and has garnered the attention of Premier League sides previously this term.
But while a move to England's top division would be a chance for Postecoglou to really test himself, the prospect of winning a treble at Celtic will likely outweigh the relegation battle potentially on offer to him at Leicester.
Ralph Hasenhuttl
Hasenhuttl (55) has not re-entered management since being dismissed as Southampton boss last year but may be tempted by the latest vacancy at Leicester.
Despite numerous poor strings of results, the Austrian's blueprint shined at points with the Saints and if given the chance at Leicester, he could try to implement his style to greater effect.
Mauricio Pochettino
Pochettino (51) has a wealth of Premier League experience from his spells at Southampton and Tottenham and has not been in management since his exit from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
He would be a more lucrative name on the shortlist and would be a significant coup for Leicester if they were to broker a deal for him.
Pochettino, though, has also been linked with a return to Spurs in recent weeks following the exit of Antonio Conte.
Marcelo Bielsa
Bielsa (67) has become synonymous with his relentless and entertaining style of football and would provide Leicester with a boost going forward.
The Argentinian is still spoken about by the supporters of former employers Leeds with his infectious attitude proven to have been effective.
However, Bielsa was chased by Everton earlier this season and rejected a move to the Toffees, which could leave doubts about his position regarding the Leicester vacancy.
