Clearly not content with six, PSG made it seven as injury time loomed, with Mbappé pulling off José Fonte’s shoulder and firing home for his 17th PSG hat-trick, adding yet another layer of gloss to a night of pure Parisian class.
Once again, PSG showed Ligue 1 how dominant they can be, emphatically maintaining their 100% record in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Lille were completely blown away as they suffered a first defeat this campaign, with their cherished memories of wresting the title from PSG last spring now very distant.
